Join us March 24 @ 12:00 PST with Gail Lafortune
RPN, Therapeutic Touch Teacher/Practitioner
Gail is a Registered Practical Nurse. Her personal healing journey began in 1990 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. In 1991 she received a Therapeutic Touch® (TT) session which TOUCHED her very deeply and changed her life forever. In that year she received her TT training with Diane May RN., (past president, 1995-2002, TTNO).
She is also a recognized Practitioner and Teacher with the Therapeutic Touch Network of Ontario. Since 1997, she has taught and practiced Therapeutic Touch in Ontario and Quebec as well as Internationally, in hospitals, community colleges, and privately.
Research has been done on Therapeutic Touch. In 1994, Therapeutic Touch was one of the recipients of research grants awarded to alternative therapies by the National Institute of Health (US). Research and experience have shown its effectiveness in:
● eliciting a “relaxation response” and reducing anxiety;
● changing a person’s perception of pain;
● facilitating the body’s natural restorative processes.
Gail’s latest accomplishment, one a legacy that she will leave behind, and a further contribution to the Therapeutic Touch® healing modality, is her first book completed and published in July 2021.
Heal To Be Free: Therapeutic Touch® Healing Stories is a precious book of stories sharing the healing power of Therapeutic Touch®. When reading these stories, you may be touched and even recognize a portion of your life journey through these real-life experiences
